The credit crunch has definitely affected everyone in the US and anywhere around the globe. Due to this fact, fraudsters are putting their acts together to collect more cash. Travel insurance frauds are on the rise. Small time their modus operandi can be, but these people tend to make our lives even harder. Some holiday travelers are filing claims on their belongings, which actually were not stolen. In some cases, these were actually stolen but they claim a much higher worth of the said items. Pre booked holidays are common. Some travelers pre booked holiday vacations but are finding themselves unable to go on with the travel because of financial issues. So what they do, to be able to claim their initial deposit for the holiday package, they go to a doctor and come out with tons of absurd sickness and conditions so they can be issued medical certifications that they can now use to claim a full refund of the pre booking deposit fee. Insurance companies have made ways to counter these frauds. So scammers beware, if you get denied of your false claims, you’ll definitely pay for your evil ways.
